Pancasila Philosophy: A Study of Political Philosophy and Philosophische Grondslag
Keywords:
Pancasila, Political Philosophy, Philosophical Foundation, Philosophical Discourse, State FoundationAbstract
Pancasila, as the foundation of the Indonesian state, requires a deep understanding through a philosophical perspective to grasp its true nature as a philosophical foundation. This study aims to analyze Pancasila as a philosophical discourse, political philosophy, and the philosophical foundation of the Indonesian state. The research method used is a literature review with a philosophical hermeneutic approach to primary and secondary texts related to Pancasila. The results show that Pancasila is a rational discourse that is open, dialogical, and critical, not a dogma that is simply accepted. Pancasila as a political philosophy has a public character that distinguishes it from religious or ethnocultural worldviews. As a philosophical foundation, Pancasila binds and determines how state power is exercised and managed. The conclusion of this study is that Pancasila is not only a philosophical theory, but also a practical guideline for all Indonesians in their lives as members of society, nation, and state.
