Abstract

The Qur'an is the holy book of Muslims which has a very important role in regulating various areas of human life, including in formulating and forming the Islamic legal system. The purpose of this study is to examine the analysis of the use of kinayah language style in three selected verses of the Qur'an, namely Surah Al-Muthaffifin verses 1-3, Surah Hud verses 84-85, and Surah Ash-Syu'ara verses 181-183. The research method used is a qualitative approach with content analysis techniques that focus on linguistic aspects in the Qur'an, especially the study of kinayah language style which is part of the science of balaghah bayan. The results of the study show that based on the analysis of three verses of the Qur'an related to the theme of cheating in measures and weights, namely Q.S. Al-Muthaffifin verses 1-3, Q.S. Hud verses 84-85, and Q.S. From the verses 181–183 of Ash-Syu'ara, it can be concluded that the element of kinayah plays a significant role in strengthening ethical and moral messages, particularly in the context of muamalah (religious transactions).
