The Representation of Educational Values in Budi Pekerti Film

Many films address themes of social life, and audiences are often influenced by the message they convey. The film "Budi Pekerti" offers an engaging representation of educational values within the context of contemporary Indonesian culture. The purpose of this study is to analyze how the film represents values such as honesty, responsibility, and hard work through its storyline, characters, and dialogue. This research method employed a qualitative approach, with data collection techniques involving observation of objects using images and videos, and documentation by gathering information from journals, images, and videos. The study found that the film effectively communicates the importance of educational values in shaping good individual character, but also demonstrates the complexity of implementing these values in real life. This research contributes to understanding how film can be used as an effective character education tool, while also identifying its potential and limitations.
