Abstract

Training is not merely a formality, but rather a strategic approach aimed at improving employees' skills, knowledge, and work attitudes so they can better meet job demands. This study aims to determine the effect of job training and the work environment on employee performance at PT Surya Indah Baja Tangerang. The study was conducted over three months, from April to June 2025, using a quantitative statistical approach using a questionnaire as the data collection instrument. The population in this study was 37 permanent employees, using a saturated sampling technique. Data analysis techniques included multiple linear regression, t-tests, f-tests, and the coefficient of determination. The results showed that job training had a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The work environment also had a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The coefficient of determination (R-square) of 0.791 indicates that job training and the work environment simultaneously explained 79.1% of the variation in employee performance, while the remainder was influenced by various other factors outside the research variables.
